What billing or insurance information will I receive?

Payments received at the time of service will not be billed. Specimens sent to laboratories will be billed through insurance. Bills from insurance are from the lab tests performed, not from PMP.

How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?

Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.

Why am I getting bills from physicians?

Each physician who provides professional services will send you a separate bill from his or her office. These physicians will include:

- your own physician
- other physicians who conducted tests and procedures
- consulting physicians chosen by your primary physician to read and interpret test results.

-These physicians may include specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, emergency medicine, nuclear medicine, pathology, radiology, or urodynamics. You will be responsible for paying these bills as well.

I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

If we have received any such information from your insurance company, we'll be glad to share it with you. However, for answers to any questions about insurance payments, deductibles, or co-payments, you generally need to check with your insurance company.

Cancellation/ No Show Policy for Lab Appointment
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to
emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed treatment.

Conversely, the situation may arise where another patient fails to cancel and we are unable to schedule you for a visit, due to a seemingly “full” appointment book.

If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance you will be charged a fifty dollar ($50) fee; this will not be covered by your insurance company.

Patient Privacy:

The Privacy and Security Act require health care providers and other covered entities to properly manage how patient information is obtained, maintained, and disclosed to keep patients PHI protected and secure.  Pinnacle Mobile Phlebotomy, LLC abides by all HIPAA regulations.
